Default STI legacy catalog up (temporary location)

http://ftp20.xdsl.ne.jp/~polarbr/sti/

This is the current japanese Legacy sedan and wagon STI parts catalog. I've just scanned in the images, slapped a design together, and put the information up. It's on my development site for now, it will be moved to the same server as my sports car site soon.

Please remember when looking at this, I'm not taking orders! This isn't meant to be a site to make orders of STI parts for the legacy - it's a reference site of the order numbers, so that you can pester your local dealer and ask them to order the parts for you. If they will do so.

Also note, especially for suspension parts, that overseas legacies and japanese market legacies differ in suspension. Use at your own risk!

Nice job - do you know if the B4 parts will fit/work with the North American Legacy (BE)?

MMMmmmmmaaaybe.

The suspension on the american legacy is different than a BE - no bilsteins, some other parts. The mount points are the same however - you can do complete swaps of parts in. For instance, I *believe* you can buy the entire strut/damper/spring combo and it will work. No guarantee on that, though.

Aero parts will work, shift lever assemblies, exhausts, other parts should work.

What parts in particular are you interested in?

I want a hood scoop... and some cool stock wheels... and to be faster... Why can't these parts be available for free?!? Are those iridium spark plugs better? How about the red radiator hoses, are they stronger? Or is it just for looks?!?

OK, big question... Is the flywheel a direct bolt-on to the outback and is it a lot lighter? and is the radiator cap a higher pressure cap? Too high for the stock outback system? Those are both neat parts!

Sorry, I keep finding more cool stuff! How 'bout the ss brake hoses? Will they bolt up without a prob to an outback? Too bad the pieces aren't rally blue...

Any and all info regarding these sti parts is good. I don't know how hard they are to get, how expensive, or how much better. I know the sti is the performance level, but I don't know EVERYTHING about it yet.

Well, what it really gets down to is this - how does your dealer feel about it? What I did is only good for letting you know what parts are available, what year legacies that they should fit, and the order number. After that, it's up to your dealer whether they are able to, and are willing to, order the parts from Sony of Japan.

As far as the flywheel goes, it should fit if you have a MT. The brakelines will fit if your car is of the right model for them.

apparently you have to be a japanese citizen to register for the yahoo stuff :|
it'd be beatiful to snap up a bunch of parts cheap and put them all in a crate.....couple sets of sidemarkers, some BG5 rear lights (i want these so frickin' bad......) some factory 17's..........
Ben drives me nuts with some of the things; rear light clusters for like $40, sidemarkers for 1/2 that.......
get a bunch of us together, and we might be able to make it happen.........

Mmm, nope, no flying here. My company name is Polar Bear (Tokyo), but that's the closest resemblence I may have...

anyone know if the stainless braided brakelines will fit an outback or does it have longer lines to go with the taller ride height?

Those stainless braided break lines are around 4 or 5 hundred bucks aren't they. It's kinda hard for me to justify that much cash just for the STi name.
