Default starter removal

alright so im goin to change my starter and i got every bolt off except for one in like 5 mins...But it seems as though there is one on the bottom right side(driver side) any one know the easiest way to get to this bolt..

reach down below it and angle the wrench upwards. The heater core coolant lines are in the way a bit but it can be done.

you did disconnect the negative from the battery correct?

yes i made sure of that..i was trying to get to it i found it almost easier from the passenger side..but is the driver side easier or better? and do you mean a wrench or a socket? and im not sure of the size but is it like a 15 -17 or something around there that what i assumed by feeling the bolt

Probably a 14mm.... My memory is a bit dull, but I KNOW that there isn't a 15mm that came on the car from the factory.
10, 12, 14, 17 will disassemble 95% of the car

sounds good ill get at it tom i was hopin it was just the battery cause i was lookin at the starter and it looked like a pain with the coolant lines in the way but it wasnt bad except for this one pain in the arse bolt...

If you crawl under your car, you can reach that bolt a hell of alot easier, just use a long extention and a swivel socket...

aight guys so i installed a new starter cause i had the old one tested and it was bad got in on and the car still doesnt start..i have a yellow top optima that tested oout fine...just changed the plugs and wires about 3 months ago...alternators fine.any othere ideas..maybe coilpack or the ignition switch thing..any ideas would be helpful..

There's a little black plug that plugs into the starter. Did you plug that back in?

Also the top starter bolt should have gone through a ground cable. You got that too right?

yep got that little plug the one that bolts in right next to that one..and the one that goes into the big long screw...checked all the fuses..Its clickin and wants to start but it wont kick over maybe ill take it out and try it again..

nevermind guys i figured out the problem...listen to this the one ground cable on my clamp to my terminal wasnt all the way in..how gay..lol...but thanks for the help guys..

have fun man..the only hard one is that underneath bolt.. i found it is to take out the tranny dipstick by it..and its a 17mm to get it off just get it lose then do it by hand the other ones are cake to get off ...the main bolt is a 14mm and i found the other one to be a 13mm and there is another little plug should only take about 15mins both ways if you can get to that one bolt easy...
