Where the shift linkage goes into the tranny there some fluid comin out.
Has anyone else had this prob. How hard to fix. Is it an o ring or do i have to take that section of the tranny apart.

You sure the trans isn't over filled. Shift linkage goes through at a high point on the trans.

I'm pretty sure its not. That could be it,or I'm now thinking that parking on a hill like I do every night is the cause of this. Good call. Its torwards the rear of the car and I tend to park with the rear facing downhill. It is a pretty good slope 20 degrees I think.

Thanks for the help.

Parking on the hill will do it. There isn't a real seal at the linkage as far as I know and I've had them out a few times. It's on a roller type bearing and I alway grease the bearing which probably helps seal it a bit.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you back up, the trans has more area to disperse the oil befote it gets to the axle seals and at least they are an actual seal

Thank you Crazy, I appreciate it. I"m gonna clean up the mess and not park on a hill for a while and see what happens. LOL.

I'm happy again knowing that it not a big deal.
