Post advice

I have a '95 2.2 lit. legacy. What are the most worth while modifications that I should start out with? Increased handling and performance are what I am mostly looking for. Will replacing the intake do very much? any adice or suggestions would be of service. thanks.

Me too...Get the rear strut brace, the front strut brace and a set of coil overs. At least on my 95 when you lower the suspension more than 1.25 you have camber probs. So camberplates are needed. at that point your in the same amount as coil overs. LIght wheels and sticky tires.
Try the metal master brake pads... they're great.

I've got the exact same car it seems. The biggest difference was the rear sway bar, best handling improvement for the money. Also suspension (KYB AGX shocks and Eibach springs) made a huge improvement for me as well and lowered the car about 1.25inches (no camber probs! ) But I think I need better tires - I have the Impreza '00 rims with RE92 tires - okay, but could be better. Also have the Syms front and rear strut tower bars on the way.

You may want to check the disscussion in the thread: "Attn: Mccaskl ! Eibach Question." There has been a lot of posts about suspension tunning.

Hey, silly question. What is the diff betw. the GT springs/shocks and the L springs/shocks. The GT is a sport-tuned suspension, but I'm wondering if its as substantial as the diff betw. the 2.5RS and an Impreza L ? Looking at most non-GT legacys, they're ride height is exactly the same as my GT.

There is a stock ride height difference between the L/LSi/Brighton and the GT of
something like a half inch. (GT higher) This is straight out of the service manual specs.

GT springs are stiffer to cope with the heavier engine/drivetrain (IIRC avg about 20%) but are somewhat longer unsprung. (thus the higher ride height)

The same soft struts are used for all Legacy's (except OB of course)
