I haven't even done any of that yet, just a trunk swap with an 05 STi and painted my stock wheels bronze.

I have heard of people using the Injen for the 05 with very minor modifications.. I can't remember when I saw it. I think the biggest thing was an extra or not enough vacuum lines..?? I don't think there are any with no mods.. the injen is prob your best bet.. But I would look into it before buying it.

+1 for what this guy said. Go out and buy the injen, then get a t fitting to set up your extra vacuum line. I think there is even a guy on here who did a how-to, try searching under a few different topics it should pop up.

I've found much success with a modded eBay short ram. The elbow's right, and the number of places to hook up lines is right. The filter sucked, so I pitched it and got a K&N cone (do some math for the right surface area). I grabbed one of those 3" dia x 3" long hose pieces with a pair of clamps that is typically used on FMIC tubing, and extended the straight bit of the eBay piece for a better fit. A bracket that came with the eBay jobbie bolted to the end of the K&N (check out the X-treme... it has a hex head cut into the inside of the top) and to a stock mount point for the stock intake.

DIY FTW.

Get the 05 Injen CAI and mod it for the 06.
If you want short ram, you can always take out the latter half.

After many posts on the subject, the Injen CAI for the 2005 2.5rs is your best bet.

not that im a mean guy or anything but if i see one more thread askin this im gonna blow my brains out

as others said the 05 injen works, you just need to get some extra hose and a T connector for the breather lines the rest works and bolts in fine.... there is no intake from cobb that works for the 06 and there prob never will be they stopped really carin about rs's... xaclleration i never heard to good about, rallitek said to have some intake to work but i really dont like that one
