Default DENT DAY! - Fix your Dents + eat BBQ @ SRP July 29, 2006

SRP Shop Address:
3108 A St. SE, Suite C
Auburn, WA 98002
253.735.7300

http://www.solar-reflections.com/contact.html

Dent Destroyer will be coming there at 10am until about 3pm (or so). It will be wholesale priced approximately 50-60$ per panel (depending on panel and dent size/quantity).

Paintless Dent Fixing FOR SUMMERTIME BEAUTY!

This is a BBQ as well - BUT BRING SOME @()$)#*$)(()*@ FOOD FOR YOURSELF AS WELL (I'll attempt to organize some food as well, but unlike last time, I'd rather not see food whores all over scouring for other people's food).

This is on the same-day as the Cascade loop run, but its the most worthwhile date for both SRP + Dent Destroyer.

Please REPLY HERE WITH YAY/NAY so I can get a tentative listing of # of cars for better pricing estimates. Include username + real name, car (year make model) and approximate number of dents/panel (or just number of panels, etc).

More information to come as soon as I can get more details from Dent Destroyer (such as time/panel for say, 2-3 door dings on a door) and variance in cost (assuming you have a big dent, or 20 dings, etc).

-phil
This is not Subaru exclusive, feel free to invite whatever cars you need to smooth out!

Well, from my point of view...the Cascade Loop was planned months ago, and then the Dent Day came up so I thought "Oh I'll just get my dents fixed instead, even though I really want to go on the loop." Then, with the dent day up in the air, I just figured it wasn't going to happen that day so I confirmed myself for the Cascade Loop. I know you said in the post that this date works best for SRP and Dent Destroyer, but I personally would've tried to avoid this date at all costs given that a rather large event was already planned on this very date months in advance.

That makes sense, but if that's the case...you shouldn't be sad that people are dropping since this event was planned in conflict with another Not to mention it doesn't help a whole lot of people who also wanted to participate in the Dent Day...but oh well I guess if you're fine with that...

I'm not sad. I'm more sad that people just dropped out not due to the cascade run day. I was fully aware of the Cascade loop run, but figured getting 20 people with dents wouldn't be hard (subaru or not).

Unfortunately, not everything revolves around nifty DoLuck trunks . I must say though, that is a hot trunk!

Anyhow, back to the original thread! I'll be recontacting the people on the list to see how much interest still holds and put updates.

I'm not on the list, but I am interested in a dent day. I haven't counted exactly how many dents I need fixed, and now that it's dark out it's kinda hard.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Talk about coming way out of left field! I'm not even taking the WRX on the cruise, if you didn't notice.

This isn't about me at all, this is about everyone else that already committed to the cruise, but you decided (due to you admittedly being selfish) to hold it the same day as the cruise anyway. Sure, you easily got your 20 or so peeps for Dent Destroyer...but I'm sure the Dent Destroyer guys wouldn't mind the potentially 28 more on top of that 20 as well.

I'm sure this Dent Day will work out great, despite its initial stumbling blocks. All I was trying to say that with a little better planning (IMHO), it could've been a lot better for everyone in the community, Subaru or not. I don't understand how this turned into the world revolving around my trunklid, but ok whatever man, roll your eyes as many times as you want

so...yeah...

you shouldn't plan an event such as Dent Day that you know a lot of ppl would attend, on the same weekend of a cruise pre-planned months ahead. That is just not thinking straight, for one you may/may not be taking people away from the cruise or two people who wanted to go to the Dent Day have to stick with prior commitments of joining friends and fellow others on a nice lil cruise. Anyways, this Dent Day was not very planned out the dent remover will be losing a good amount of business to people who are car enthusiasts and pick a cruise over getting a little dent fixed. Mixed emotions but bottom line is know how to plan events prior to actually planning it, especially if you are the one organizing it.

BTW bringing in other subjects not related to the the topic and trying to be some what serious about it towards a fellow person on the forum makes you lose credibility.

There'll always be plenty of Dent Days. No one takes initiative, thats all. I planned on not attending the cruise - also talked to Dave, he's working that day. Why not just do a dent day? I don't see an issue with having a dent-day on the same day of a big cruise. Sure, it benefits my schedule, but truthfully, what would you do if you were in NWIC and weren't planning on cruising? Sit?

Me lose credibility? I'm guessing the point of the comment was missed. I could respond to Armin's posts, but that'd detract from the thread. Besides, its just pointless arguing. Go look at the thread about hood scoops.

Sure its on the same day as the cruise, but really the # of people going on the cruise that would sign up for the DD Minus the # of people that will show up leaves such a small number of cars not coming to the DD. Hell some of the people for the cruise will flake out at the last minute also. It is summer time and there are only so many weekends to do stuff.

Also remember the dent guy can only do so many cars in one day.

This is only one day of many to come, so if you can't make it this time, then we'll see you at the next one.

It's summer.... cruises, bbq's, races, everyone can't make it to every event.

For those that can still make it, we'll see you on the 29th

so thanks to parking lots I now have a dent. Are there already too many cars? I'm not even sure if this one would be do-able. I'll take a picture or something.

I have a small crack on my bumper now too from my friend reversing into me. I don't mind because I got a free front mount intercooler to not whine about it. I'm going to have to replace the bumper anyway so it's win-win in my book as long as he never parks in front of me again.
