Remote Keyless "Horn Chirp" Warning. How do i get Rid of it?

My GF owns a 2000 Outback Limited and she is really getting annoyd by the "horn chirp" warning after locking or unlocking the doors.

Does anybody knows haow to eliminate this thing. Is preety anniying specially when you lock the doors at 3:00AM

To my recollection you put the key in the ignition turn one click. While key is in ignition press both buttons on the key-less remote until you here a couple of quick beeps. Something like that. I would refer to your manual.

I asked this after picking up my 2000 GT wagon, because after about two days, I was ready to drive it into a lake to shut it up.

IIRC, open the driver's door and press the lock button 5 times. I don't think the key needs to be in the ignition, although I may be wrong.

Tomorrow I'm installing the ecurity Upgrade. I'll let you know how that went to.

Mission Acomplished.

This is how it goes. Press both buttons on the remote for more than two seconds. After that you'll hear the annoying chirp for the last time, and thats it.
