Default AP wont connect with PC?? grrr....

So i finally got the cable to hook the AP up with the computer. When i hook it up the first screen that appears says, "please choose new map to flash to ECU. Press ok/cancel". So i press cancel and it says "cobb AcessPORT Tuning...initializing v.1.5" Then it just goes back the the same screen that i first got. What is going on? I cant get the the main menu to select "sync mode"? If i press ok, it comes up with the maps that are on it to begin with. Im starting to get sick of this piece of junk! HELP PLEASE!!!

An update..So the only reason i wanted to hook it up to the pc is to put the new version of maps on it(bought it used, had old revision). So just for the heck of it, i hooked it to the car to flash stage1 in it. I hooked it up as said in the book, and it said the same thing as posted before. I hit cancel and it says that "initializing" crap and goes back to the original screen. I cant get to the main menu even with it hooked to the car. I never had a problem with this before. I've read live boost with it and so on. Unbelievable, what a piece.

Wait, Is it married or not?

No offense man, but most people seem to get the AP to work, I'm willing to bet your doing somthing wrong.

If it were installed succesfully you would be getting the main menu, with would then mean you have to sync the AP to your computer before being able to connect it with map manager.

I think it's un-married though based on how your describing it.

I'd reccomend reading the instructions a time or two more before risking your ECU ($600) part.

First off, long day of work. Brain is fried. LOL. I have used this before. It is unmarried at the moment, and that expains why i cant get to the main menu..duh! But that does not explain why it would not be connecting to the map manager software. If it were brand new, it would be unmarried. You would have to connect it to the map manager software to put new maps on it..right?

Fixed!!! I had to download the "patch" that cobb offers on their accessecu website. i must have an older model AP and it would not connect using the new map manager software.
