Default Woke up to a SWAT team in my front yard *pics included

so i wake u at 6 am to police up and down my street and a bunch of swat guys in my front yard. turns out a neighbor 2 houses down had a party last night, a friend went nuts and found a gun in the house, ramsacked the house for bullets and threatened everyone. he held up in the house for about 5 hours until finially the swat team moved in and he gave up. i thought it was all over but it turns out the nutcase turned on the gas and filled the house with natural gas, the police started to run and made everyone on my street evacuate, so i had to run 1/2 mile down the street so i didnt get blown up.
eventually we were allowed to go back in and the morning calmed down. it was the coolest experience of my life...im really thinking about becoming a police officer now

i tried to keep the story short and sweet for you lazy guys

ps. i was able to snap some pics

A very good friend of mine is SWAT. Him and his team mates are all bonafied badasses. Most of the SWAT schools in the area involve running around carrying boulders and telephone poles for miles at some point in the school. The better in shape you are, the better you'll recover from injuries. And trust me, there will be injuries in school. Consider it Marine Corp boot camp, except you go to your house at night.

I'm an ex-cop. Well I actually consider myself on hiatus while I serve out my 4 year enlistment with the Coast Guard. But if you need some pointers on becoming a Law Enforcement employee feel free to PM me.

Also check out www.officer.com for some good information on their forums.

Good luck. It's one of the most rewarding and frustrating jobs at the same time. Guy last night was upset that I arrested him for DUI. He was going on and on about he didn't want his sister to find out, and how he's going to lose his job now. He asked if I felt bad for doing this to him. I pointed to the picture that is on the table in the ASAP testing room at the Fairfax jail. It's a picture of the girl that got hit by a drunk driver and was burned over 99% of her body. I'm sure we've all seen the email with her story. Anyway, I pointed to it and said "She got hit by a drunk driver. So no, I don't feel bad because I know someone else out there is safe because you're in here."

I'll also be glad to help you with any information that you need.

With all the correcting going on here, I though I'd jump in. Consider your house shattered.

He wants to be a cop so why not an MP. He'll have plenty of fun getting shot at over there.

As long as we are being anal--- the OP said 'ramsacked', should have been 'ransacked'.

ramsacked sounds more fitting for a SWAT team event.
