Unhappy Does this sound like a piston prob??

Well car is running lean at idle, and not all the time but sometimes i blow alot of white oil burning smelling smoke (only at idle). Doesnt feel like the car has less power at all and still pulls super hard. Im gonna do a compression check tomorrow and see. Any ideas on what else this may be? Im running an 18 psi and 21 psi map. I only ran the 24 psi map during the dyno

Normally white smoke indicates a blown head gasket. What do you mean the car is running lean at idle? Your idle afr's will be alot higher then when a load is put to it so that sounds normal. If you were having a piston problem you would for sure hear some sort of rattling or knocking so I don't think that is your issue. Who tuned you, and are you stll on stock injectrs for the 24psi?

my car blows blue oily smoke because the hotside seal of the turbo is blown. doesn't do it at cold start, but when the engine is warm and idling it will.

Im thinking this is the prob. I was smoking really bad this morning of course after the car warmed up. and when i popped the hood i could really smell something burnt from the turbo area

yea dyno hp #'s are for the birds!! i made close to the same amount on my sz55!
you have a problem my friend. last year when i was running my stock block and an sr55
i blew my shyyt up, exact same symptoms. watch when you get on it ,any smoke when you go,or when you downshift?? have a friend ride behind, but seriously our stock blocks unforunately dont lats too long after a big turbo upgrade. unless you drive it outta boost, aside from the few who were able to push their motor with no issues is great for them, but def do a compression check right away!!!! oh and my final problem was a cracked piston oil ringland.[ broken piston ring] good luck and pm if you need any further assistance.
