Hey looking for suggestions here, and maybe someone with a protuner licence for feedback/ helo. Had Jarrad from PDX pull some logs while we are up a Dyno Day and Basline runs. We did a base line in my 2006 WRX Stage 2
- HKS Stamped Flange DP - Magnaflow Catback (Catless) - K&N with gutted stock intake - AP with Shelf Stage 2 Reflash 2200 ft elevation on standard 91oct pump gas Numbers were 226hp and 270tq so the numbers were good and seemed right but the problem came in the datalogs you can see for yourself I am getting Knock and lean issues bad ones. 1. Should I reflash to stock? (Until i get this fixed) 2. Should I convince COBB that the map I got was crap and they should update for me? 3. Does someone have a Protuner software and wouldnt mind helping me retune this via email? reasone I didnt get PDX to tune it at the time was it didnt fit in the schedual and I really didnt want a pro tune as I plan for a new turbo in the next 6-8 months as it is. Thanks For any help Kris

I was seeing lean values and negative KC values on my '06 with the cobb stage 2 91 octane map. I got a new map from TDC tuning and I'm seeing only positive KC values. I haven't logged A/F ratios since the new reflash though.

Dang... Maybe your car just didn't respond to the map well at all. Every car is different. I highly doubt Cobb messed up your map, however I think it would be worth a call to see what the deal is, and if it is that bad then maybe a potential refund or help getting your car back to normal.

Just got off the phone with COBB and they suggested to me that I should run the California Map and that it may be a fuel issue and I will need a custom map done to work with this furel we have here in Calgary

good point parker. That DP doesn't have any bigger opening than the stocker.

Yes mine is the top one with the stamped flange but I have been told by various tuners that it is fine the difference between the bellmouth and the stamped flange is very little on our stock turbos, the outlet is the same size the difference if the bellmouth expands over the wastegate to allow mroe flow when your wastegate is open. That being said performance on a bellmouth is so-so because when your waste gate opens on both the bellmouth and stamped flange you get turbulance in the DP, the only way around this is to get one with a divorced wastegate side. I also know that this is not the cause of my problem because Jarrad knew what kind of DP i was running and he said that wont make a difference like what i am seeing. thaks for the thought though

So your running a TDC map and not Cobb's?
That changes things. Have you mailed him the logs? |

I was asking the OP. It hasnt been made very clear just what kind of map this is.
Custom maps are exactly that, custom. |

I don't know if wastegate interference could cause knock like that though. Looks like a fuel issue.
