Default Any 06's want a 05 Front End? Swap :)

The 06 front end has grown on me alot. This might be a shot in the dark but I really would love to trade.

The car has 25k on the odometer. Included would be my complete front end which is the sti hood/wrx scoop, fenders, cleared and painted headlamps, sti foglamp cover (jdm fogs included at extra costs), sti splitters, pillarless grill and lastly the v-limited replica front lip in carbon fiber.

In exchange I would need your parts to put back.

If you are interested let me know. (I just put on a wrx scoop, not in pics)

I doubt people would downgrade. If they bought a new car, they most likely liked the new front end. Or at least they can probably tolerate it enough not to bother swapping.

What would be a unique swap is a Saab 9-2x front end. Whoever does it would most likely have the only 9-2x sedan (at least I've never heard of that conversion yet).
You'd have to buy the parts, as I'm sure nobody would swap theirs....
Hood, both fenders, lights, bumper cover.....
The car will definitely look unique.
I like the 9-2x "body kit" much better than any of the 2002+ Subarus (and I've had an 04 MY). This is just an opinion though, and we all know about opinions.....

I've thought about swapping the bugeye front end but it seems like alot of money to spend.

I dont think its a downgrade at all, just a different style. I am sure there are people out there that got an 06 just cause it was new, but still liked the 05/04 style more.

Anyhow, I will keep this offer open.

What I mean by "downgrade" is going back to the older style. If you're paying for a new 06 car, you don't want it to look like the previous generation, since when the time comes to sell, it's weird to explain to people that yes, it's an 06, but with the older front end.

Either way, good luck with the search. You'll probably find someone, but it will take some time.

You will definitly find someone eventually. People like different styles and always changed their mind. Maybe you will even find someone with a 2.5l wrx 06 style and want the 04-05 for a sleeper/headturner look..you never know..the options are endless.

This is pretty tempting for me. I'll seriously consider it. I love blobeyes. I wish they made the 06 with the blob eye front end.

How much labor would this entail? Is everything a direct fit? I'm concerned that my resale would go down because of this swap. I am considering it though.

yes everything should be a 1-2-3 swap.

We could dedicate a whole afternoon and get it all done no problems.

Im sure when time came to sell the car people would question both cars, but I hate thinking that far down the road.

Live for today people!

Oh man. I want to so bad. I doubt my dad would let me do this though (Car is under his name until i pay it off). I hate decision making. How would you want to work around my lack of HIDs?

Not really sure....Thats something I would need to get if I didnt get it in the swap.

Then again I would have to see the condition of your car.

My car has 25k on it, so what you see is what you get. Normal highway chips and marks but as you can see nothing out of the ordinary.

I wax the car nearly every month and keep it very clean. But there is only so much one can do to prevent normal wear and tear.
