Question Rallispec (merged thread)

Anyone know what's up with them? Vacation?

I've had good experiences with them in the past, but haven't been able to reach them for three days. The website is down (for remodeling) as well.

Happy Motoring!

Thumbs up

They had to go Minnesota to finish a rally conversion-they should be back this weekend.

PS. they are great people to deal with.

Well, my personal experience with Rallispec was positive. They had good prices, and my order arrived promptly. Cant fault them.

I ordered a strut tower bar and they sent me a anti-sway bar instead, which never arrived anyway. Somehow they sent the wrong part to the wrong address.

But they were cool about it and gave me a full refund as soon as I called them about it.

Thumbs up Rallispec!

I've always heard a lot of good things about Rallispec, and it was great to have the opportunity to experience it myself. My friend and I drove up there to have my defi gauges/vishnu uppipe/torsion bars installed. They were in the midst of two engine transplants and two rally car preps, but still found the time to do my installations. The service was great, and needless to say, Dave, Greg and Jane are truely professionals. (Greg actually found a typo on Shiv's uppipe letter, so I'll have to email Shiv about it)

Total installation/tuning took about 8 hours, and the labor fee was very reasonable. At first there was a minor fuel leak and exhuast leak, but they fixed that in no time. All in all, I'm very satisfied with their service and professional attitude (like that's a real surprise)

It's great to see Rallispec sticking around for the subaru aftermarket, and keep up the good work guys!

Dave just completed a jspec WRX conversion with a zillion customizations/extras to boot on my Impreza. Since the summer when my jspec project began, until last week when it finished (for now I've been working with Rallispec, preparing for this swap. In those 9 months I have nothing but good things to say about Rallispec, and if I could do it over, I wouldn't change a thing.

Incidentally, I took my car in to an expert car wiring guy the other day, and he hooked me up with an alarm, and inspected Dave's wiring work...he was shocked and said all the wiring behind the dash, etc, looks TOTALLY stock.

Annointed, was it your blue RS (wrx by now ) that's in front of the shop? I saw that EJ20 up on the engine stand with the new block. They were also working on a red 4 door so I dunno. But either one looked great!

I'm the red 4 door you saw. I only went for 300 hp, but the dude with the blue RS you are referring to is going all out! I've drivin mine 1500 miles in the 7 days since I got it back, and it is a BEAST, so I can't imagine what kind of a beast his car will be when its finished

Thumbs up Ralli Spec, NJ

Just got back from Ralli Spec in NJ. Dave and Greg worked on my 2.5RS. Did a great job! Had installed flywheel, clutch, turbo, gauges and a custom exhaust. Great quality! Thumbs up.

Thumbs up great vendor

Yes, Rallispec is a great vendor. I called and ordered the Bosal downpipe from them. Very polite and easy to deal with on the phone, got the product ordered and it arrived when it was supposed to.

A+ for great service, fast shipping, including all gaskets/instructions, good prices.

Thanks
Evan

commandoe99~

It is a VERY easy install. Simply unbolt the the stock downpipe from the 3rd cat section and from above the car (with the hood up) work with a socket wrench to get at the heatsheild bolts. Then attack the 5 turbo bolts. Soak them with wd40 before. Then take out the stock downpipe and attach the new bosal. Make sure you use new gaskets and your bolts are tight.

peace

Thumbs up Rallispec Update

Just received the parts I ordered as part of the STi Group Buy sponsored by Rallispec in August. Here's what I ordered:

Genuine Subaru STi catless uppipe
STi Red stitched leather 5 speed shift knob

First of all, the parts were delivered EXACTLY when they were promised. We were all told ahead of time that this group buy was coming by boat, directly from Japan, and to expect delivery in 4 - 6 weeks. Yet, in spite of the recent west coast labor problems, the parts still arrived when promised. AND they only charged me $7.00 for UPS to my home! Outstanding....

Second, the parts.....
The uppipe...Genuine brand new Subaru, with factory heat shields, part # sticker and "Subaru" embossed in the heat shield...but here's the kicker: They even included the proper resistor for me to do the "EGT resistor mod" ,since the STi uppipe doesn't have a provision for the EGT probe! I didn't request this from them, and they certainly didn't have to go through the extra expense of this for my benefit...

This my friends, is exemplary customer service!

As for the shift knob....Same STi shift knob offered for sale by another vendor for $98.00, Rallispec supplied for $56.00! "Nuff said!

Needless to say, I'm extremely impressed and would recommend Rallispec to anyone without hesitation.....

Greg and Dave, thanks! Look forward to many more purchases in the near future.....
