Default How many have run a vf22 with the cobb vf34 map?

I'm installing a pnp cc vf22, pnp cc manifolds, pinks, ebay tmic, inlet tube, walbro fp. Was wondering how many folks have run the cobb ofs map for the vf34 on a vf22? What kind of problems or did it run good/OK .I have an 02 wrx mt. I know a protune is better and will be getting one asap but I might not be able to get an appointment b4 I go to the beach.

no they don't, I wish they did. There are alot of vf22 users out there and it would seem that they would but Cobb doesn't like the vf22. Says its old technology. I would try PDX but I think its takes a while for them to get you a map. Plus you need a laptop so you can log the car. And email them your logs so that they can tweak on it some more.

My VF34 map was made esp to get me around until my tuner gets his new Dyno, no worries here.

Well it not the cobb OTS map.You have differnt map then COBB maps.Still need to get a Protune. Why can't your tuner do a roadtune?

I am 3 hours from my tuner so I opted for the Dyno this time so I can see what im makin. We are much smarter than to run an OTS map.

1. Posting in the wrong forum is bad.
2. Using a VF34 map on a VF22 is probably the worst idea since Hitler's invasion of the Poland.

Uni-
I know your a moderator and all, but do you read before you reply?
It is a custom map with a safety net!
You can move the OP's thread now if you desire or must.

Thanks for trying to scare the OP from the map, as I stated in my pm to him I have ZERO (0) problems in running this map. My tuner has done what he needs to to get me around " safely" until he gets the new DYNO.
As long as we dont go into full boost we are ok for commuting. The OP will be fine as long as he does the same.

1. Since I have a 2.0 and an access port I figured the 2.0 forum would get more hits for the thread. I thought that it might get moved but thats ok.
2. Dale at Boxer4 told me I could use the Cobb ofs map to scale my pinks and drive it up there to him. Just to stay out of boost till I got there. So I disagree about being the worst idea. I trust Dale.

I agree, running WG boost on the OTS vf34 map should be FINE. Just run a hose from the WG to the compressor housing bypassing the OEM BCS to achieve no more than WG boost, which most vf's are around 10-12 psi IIRC.

Hell, cobb's OTS maps are still so pig rich you'd probably be fine running regular boost, but to stay on the safe side just run WG til you get to the tooner.
