Rear end has so much Pagani Zonda DNA they should be paying royalties...

If I wanted an ugly kit car with a penislonger V8, I'd get a chassis from Ultima and a twin turbo V8 from Banks. No need to slum around in Italy

That looks like a pushrod V8. What block is it based on?

I want to know how they came up with that 0-60 time.

The engine in theory might be able to reach that speed 0-60 and 270 mph

But no way in real life... That must be in theory.

Even the Ultima GTR, FM L1, and Gumpert Apollo can't reach 0-60 in less then 2 seconds.

270 mph top end is a world record in every respect... A production Veryon did hit 253.2 and the new Koenigsegg CCR should edge that out by a bit... 270 is huge though

... I call a lot of b.s. on this...

I want to see real world testing... Another fact is: "No one in the world owns one yet, because it's in production."

Obviously I'm all for faster supercars, I'm a big fan... this seems way way over the top... and leaps and bounds over others.

that is what the freaking veyron should be doing 0-60 but NO! they made the freaking thing as heavy as any american car like 4,000 pounds so the car is a waste of money.
now this car is cool!

I was just like you a few months ago...

Really do some more reading..

The atom isn't that FAST of a car... top speed it barely makes it to 150

Ultima GTR is leaps over atom yet same size ... and can reach killer top speeds

the apollo gumpert like I mention earlier bigger then atom but only a few 100 pounds and top speed of 227

The ATOM is nowhere near the end all of cars like I though it was... It's impressive but not in the top 10 of supercars by a long shot.

But it's not priced like on either.

I hope you are being sarcastic, because going 0-60 in 2.5 and 253 MPH is really a huuuge dissapoinment. Yes, AWD is heavy, but this car does not appear to be nearly as luxurious or comfortable as a veyron. Anyone else remember the Top Gear episode where Jeremy drives the veyron on the road trip? This new car *may* be faster and quicker, but in the end THAT is a Bugatti, and THIS is a "Barabus", something that borrows it's rear from a Zonda, it's sides and front from a Saleen, and has a name suspiciously close to "Brabus". Besides, going 270 is really just for dickswinging rights. I'd much rather drive a Veyron than this car (granted I'd take either any day. So having said that, I would say that the veyron is not exactly a waste of money.

MSRP 360,000 POUNDS! Around $650K, there are alot of other cars I would buy for that much.

It really looks like a kit car, all plasticky and what not.

I think he is talking about the 0-60 time alone. The Atom is amazingly quick to sixty for what the engine is.

No tire in the world would be able to hold the road with out spinning out to achieve that type of acceleration. At least none that I know of.

I like the shot with the steering wheel upside down. I know, the wheels are probably turned, but you'd think they'd turn the wheel a little off 180 deg before taking a press shot.

Just an FYI,

a top Fuel Dragster does 0-60 in .75 seconds...

But that's 6000+ HP and 1800 lbs.
