Default AP performace with automatic wrx ?

For those with the Accessport on their auto WRX, does this mod make a large difference? I currently have an 03 wrx with a slip torque converter and TB exhauust and would like to know if I should get an AP.

Any input would be greatly appreciated,
Thankx

Had my AP for over 2 years and even tho I don't have a HS TC yet I just love how it changed the driving experience for the better. It's worth every penny as far as i'm concerened.

I'm loving it!

I was so disapointed with the car in stock form I wanted to kill myself. Now that I have the Cobb Ap, Up and down pipe along with Samco IC hoses and a K&N drop in filter I could not be any happier!

the car feels great, responsive and more then willing to beat stock evos and Sti.
Automatic transmission is really nice. But it shifts a little early into 2nd, so if you need to squeeze a little more power for a run, shift it manually 1-2nd then let it do it's thing from there on.

I have a dyno plot posted on here somewhere... If you want to see it search around for it

Really appreciate it guys. Any more input on an AP + TC for an auto wrx? I tried search for those dyno numbers but could not find them. With a Stage 2 and an auto wrx what do you guys think the hp gain will be? What the stock dyno for an auto wrx (2.0 L) ?

thanx

AP makes a huge difference on the WRX automatics. Before, I could not stand driving my g/fs car. My 98 RS was faster and more responsive (still more responsive though). Before the WRX could not power out of corners, would lag terribly, and generally make you feel like you got screwed. This all mainly due to Subaru's inability to program a trans ECU.

After we put on a downpipe/uppipe and flash stage 2. Way better, responsive and fast. Can power out of the corners, and makes performance driving alot more fun. My RS is still faster on corners though (500lb weight advantage). Even if the WRX has several thousand dollars worth of full suspension/tires/wheels/brembos.

Yea brother, I sold my 2001 2.5 RS 5-speed for a 2003 auto WRX. I miss my old car sooooooooooo much. But the top end of the WRX is amazing, and so are the brake. I also love having 4 doors and extra space. Man I really want an AP !!!

Guess it's time to stop eating out.
