You missed the point.

I see ALOT of people coming on here bitching and complaining about having to pay for the tech's diag time....that is still time the guy had to spend figuring out what YOU did to the car. And time is money to these guys.

Except tgui...I have no excuse for that.

Most other places do free diag however. I think most of the complaining comes frome expecting it for free and being surprised when you're charged for it.

I have never been anywhere that wouldn't charge at least something for diag time. Unless, you were talking something obvious like a wheel bearing like Tgui. I still have no excuse for that one.

yup. they backed our WRX wagon over a curb and bent the axle-back, then refused to do anything about it.

Dulles Motors is no better.....my LGT has been in the shop for about three weeks over five trips for what should have taken two days in a single trip. Result? Broken door panel, scraped up BBS wheels, fu><ored turbo stud. I'm still sorting out the car....on my own, since no other dealer will touch it now and I won't go back to those ****ing hacks.

^ Didn't know the service at Dulles was that bad. I've only worked with the Sales guys and they have been great.

Sorry to hear about your experiences, I'd be pissed too as I wanted those wheels..Any chance you already posted your ratings in the dealer/vendor sections? People should hear the good along with the bad so that they are not distracted by only the good stories..Fact is fact..

Often times i hear bad stories but the person experienced do not post about it. Well, vendors and dealers become bad because of lack of knowledge that their customers are not happy. I think if this continues, no one should compliant. We have bad services because we don't tell people about it and those companies keeps profiting.

I'm 25/75 on Stolhman

I bought the car for a decent price I think 31k from Eric

I had a gauge pack and short shifter installed, during the install they managed to scratch the dash board up and turn on the CEL

Went back as they offered to change that piece of the dash for free, and fix the CEL, thats when I actually talked to the master mechanic and he seemed very knowledgable, he was pissed that they managed to scratch the dash

Then when I went in for an oil change and tire rotation they charged me 45 dollars for the oil alone, service was free thought cause of this coupon but the scary thing was they were paging me to come to the front desk and in a rude tone asking for my wheels locks, until I said 'I don't have wheel locks' then we all went outside, a kid who couldn't be older then me took a closer look at the lug nuts and apologized, then Debby said something like 'c'mon wake up charlie' or whatever his name was... you can't tell if a car has wheel locks from looking at the lug nuts well I just don't know...

I use to go to college in Radford and went to Shealor motor mile and oil change cost me 25 dollars

I really think this all depends on who you work with, find a mechanic you like request he works on your car and come in only when he is working and I think you'll be fine, now I just gotta find out the name of that mechanic...

I think the really good master mechanic they had at Stohlman retired and went to Florida. Sucks because that guy was unreal.
