Default need urgent help on boost gauge install

Im instaling the subaru boost gauge on my 05 wrx. i cut the hose and am now trying to fit the 3 way joint on. Its a real pain. is there easier way to do this? thanks.

step 2 says remove the blind grommet . what is this, do i just pull it out? These instructions are so confusin and its so hard to get to.

did you lubricate the t joint so it would slide in? dont mean to sound stupid but sometimes little things get over looked. you can use spit or anything. then just push and twist. i may be off but it's what i've done. as for the other part i'm not sure. mine came already on the car.

If you could scan and post the instructions, it would help us to help you.

I'm guessing the blind grommet is a rubber plug in an unused hole in the firewall. Is this step for routing the tube back through the firewall so you can plug it into the gauge?
