it won't be anything big. Cobb's maps are a little leaner up top vs stock, but go into Open loop fueling sooner, so they kind of offset each other.

I was getting about 27mpg with stage 2, with mixed highway/city driving. With my protune I still get around 24-25

The last tank I had was mostly city driving and I got 17-18 mpg with stg 1. oh yeah... and I had my A/C on 90% of the time.

Stage 2, my g/f is getting 2-3 mpg more than when stock. She does pretty much only city driving (6 miles to work). Her average before was 19mpg, now it is 21.

Based on all the comments above, can i conclude that stg2+TBE has a slightly better milage than stg1+TBE? Has anyone compared this apples to apples?

Why would someone run stg1 with a TBE?

You shouldn't, it even tells you not to, and you'd be costing yourself horsepower and engine life.

You could compare Stage 1 - Stock and Stage 2 - TBE.

Thanks for the advice. I was running stg1 when i had stock tbe all along. I just installed a 3in full tbe last week and have not switched to stg2 maps. I wanted to compare my mpg after consuming a full tank. I also wanted to collect as much logs as possible so i can compare it later.

Cobb stage2, 27mpg hwy trip w/air, easy driving. Averages around 25.xx combined hwy/town.

Cobb stage2, at the road course, arrived with 3/4 tank of fuel, 60 miles on track, pulled off early last session because car cut out in a turn, little less than 1/8th left in tank. What does that figure out to be?

Notice I said, "easy driving". I-55 from my house to Memphis is flat as a pancake, sure that helped. From my house to St. Louis on I-55 it's much more hilly, usually average, with some in city driving added in, between 25/26mpg's. Another thing, I drive like a grandma most of the time rarely hitting boost at all. If you drive like me, I suspect using Cobb's economy map will be a waste of time for you also. Netted me about .2mpg better mileage, not worth the time.
Now if I had 3/4 tank of fuel arriving at the track and left with 1/8 and only ran 60 miles....3/4~12 gallons?, 1/8th~3gallons?, that would be less than 7mpg's. Has anyone ever checked mpg's they got at the track? Doe's that sound within reason?

I was able to get 33.4mpg (i have a witness) on I80 going thru Ohio on the way to Michigan. I had the cruise control set at 65-68 for one tank of gas. I did not touch the gas pedal except to get on the highway from a rest area. I was impressed! both im myself for holding out and the car stretching it so far.

I have yet to see above 27 from that day, but 25-27 mpg is way better then the stock 19 mpg when I first got the car.

I had better gas mileage on stage 1 than stage 2. I was getting 185 miles out of 6.5 gallons with ac ( I fill up only $20 everytime the light goes on), and now stage 2 driving the same way dropped down to 165 miles. err

I'm sure my mileage could be better with stage 2, but I can't seem to keep my foot out of it, so I'm averaging about 21 with mixed city/hwy driving.

I used to have a stg1 91 oct map with the stock tbe and gutted uppipe. That got me around 23.5 mpg on my daily commute of (14 city/26 hwy miles traveled daily) minimal ohio traffic. That was 2 weeks ago.

On July 15 2006, I went with Helix d/p + Greddy Evo2. My first full tank refill got me 303.5 miles and added 11.736 gallons. 25.86 MPG. Note that I had a stg1 map up until July 21, when i switched to stg2. My guess is that the increase was mainly due to the exhaust mods.

I for one am getting horrible gas mileage since i went stage 1, and even worse since stage 2.

Stock i was getting about 280 miles per tank,
now, im getting about 200, thats considerable. Does anyone have any ideas why?? Thanks,
