Default Anybody else getting boost creep with the 06?

Currently i'm running a VF39, perrin downpipe, and hks cat-back. I flashed in the VF39 CA 91 OCT map and have been getting boost creep. Is there anything I can do before getting a protune?

yeah you can lay off the throttle number one especially in 4th through 5th and a protune will not cure boost creep it is a mechanical issue. even if your downpipe is catted you are still subject to boost creep. i have a cobb catted down pipe running stage 2 with a protune and got boost creep until i had my turbo ported end of boost creep some cars are more prone than others, yours and mine are one of them. if your gonna run a tbe then your only option is to port the wastegate end of story the vf39 wastegate cannot handle the extra flow so that is why it is mechanical not tuner related

I think it's been proven again and again that the most effective way to get rid of creep is not EM... it's the port. It may be cheaper to do also.

The best, least expensive, and laest time consuming way to get rid of boost creep is to raise the boost and remove the fuel cut. Do this at your own risk. Another good option is to get a new turbo. There are obviously other options like external wastegates.....

The less restrictive your exhaust is, and the lower you're holding the boost, the harder it will be to get rid of boost creep. Porting(a little) might work on certain cars and it might not. If you want to port the wastegate(and try to make sure it works), you might wanna look into getting deadbolts larger wastegate flapper so you can make the wastegate hole nice and big. Course this is just my opinion, and I'm no expert.

peace

Do you think you're some kinda expert cause you ported your wastegate and got rid of boost creep(no offense)? Do you think you would have been so lucky if you didn't have a catted downpipe? Why do you think deadbolt created their larger wastegate flapper(rhetorical)? It's cause they ported a lot more turbos then you, and many people still had boost creep. Whatever though man....

...the thing about creep with the '06 and the td04 is that boost can't really get too high before the turbo runs outa flow and it(boost) peaks and drops off as rpm's increase.....

like hippy says....toon for it and enjoy what the td04 can give ya.....~240-250whp and ~300whtq.

My car is a real hoot up to ~90mph or so running ~19psi at(short lived) peak.....

He's got a vf39. The best option might be to get water/alc injection and just run high boost(with the right tune). I have a diy water injection thread goin in that forum.......$190+tune.....
