Default Cusco Rear Sway Bar for WRX versus STi

I just bought a new Cusco adjustable rear sway bar for my 04' WRX, and can not get it to install! Looks like the ends hit smack dab in the middle of the endlinks, and there is no way (trust me... I tried) to get the sway bar to fit. When I purchased them, it looked like the same sway bar could be used for both the WRX and the STi... since then, I've done more searching, and it looks like there may actually be two different bars (same stats... slightly different numbers) for the two cars. Can anyone confirm that there are 2 different types, and what it takes to get the STi to fit on the WRX if that is the issue? Can I just buy a new set of endlinks? Arg!
