Default PDX and AP questions. base, real?

I'm decently familiar with the AP. I had one on my 04 Sti. I bought a used 05 sti that came with a AP and it had stage2 maps by PDX on it. When I bought it the TBE wasn't on so it was reflashed to stage 1. Now he was saying something about running pdx base and real. He gave me a cd and it has maps with the extensions .ptb and .ptr. I'm assuming base and real. Are those the PDX maps? And I have to revert to stock, load the .ptb map and then select the PDX .ptr map correct? I just want to double check before I mess something up. Would I know if I was using a AP base and a PDX real time?

Thanks in advance

You have to run the PDX base map with the real time map. You dont need to revert back to stock. The new map will overwright the old one. I accidently ran my ap base with the PDX real time for about 10 min. and couldnt tell a difference.
Here is a pic of my PDX real time map 9) main - 15psi
