It's likely your fueling is off between load cells. This is always the first step I take when tuning anyone’s Hydra. Once it starts to bounce around it's hard for it to recover especially if you have closed loop on. First off make sure your “Closed Loop” is not enabled at idle. The Hydra samples from not only the cell it's tracking but also the surrounding cells. First bring your AFR down to about 14.2 by highlighting all surrounding cells and adding fuel. Once you've done this and the idle has stabilized you will be able to fine tune each cell. I like to bring the idle all the way to 1600 rpm tune that cell, turn AC on, and then tune that cell, drop the idle down and continue. I have had my car idling all the way down to 400 rpm.

Once you've done this the idle will be rock steady. Also if your idle becomes unsteady when your radiator fans turn on you will likely need to adjust your "Injector Response Curve" to increase fueling as voltage drops from the fans. If your intake system isn’t heavily modified then you should be able once you’re tuned to grab all surrounding cells and lean the idle AFR to about 14.5 but to go any leaner your tuning must be perfect.

Thanks,
Phil

Also I'm not sure why but your intake temps are really hot at 64C. Make sure that when the car's intake temp is cooler, 45c for example, your AFR is constant. If not then you may just need to bring up your "IAT Correction" at 60C.

Are you using an Element base map or other?

Thanks,
Phil

Yes im using an element map that i got with the hydra.

1. First off make sure your “Closed Loop” is not enabled at idle. How do i do this?? what should my closed loop be set at from to ..

2. Also if your idle becomes unsteady when your radiator fans turn on you will likely need to adjust your "Injector Response Curve" to increase fueling as voltage drops from the fans. this seems to be the case i do notice the fan comming on as this happens..

Thanks..

Ok, set your "closed loop" lower limit to 1500 rpm (select/settings/closed loop) and this will disable it at idle and you will be able to tune those fuel cells accurately.

The "Injector Response" curve is under select/control 1/Injector Response. Make note of your drop in voltage when the fans come on but it’s likely you’ll be making changes in the 13.2 V and lower range. By increasing these values you will be compensating for the fact that as voltage drops less fuel is delivered for a given injector pulse width. Increasing this will reduce the tendency for the idle to drop during a suddenly leaner AFR. I found I have to do this with PE injectors more so than modified stocks or cars that have poor voltage (due to various reasons). Lightened flywheels also require the tuning be spot on more so than with a standard weight flywheel.

If you give me more specifics about your setup I may be able to offer more advice.

Good luck.
Phil

Enable, "Closed Loop" and set your lower limit to 1500 rpm and your upper limit to 3500 rpm. Use "WB Target Table" for your source. This will allow under all conditions closed loop AFR feedback withing the specified RPM range as defined by your "Target AFR" table.

Thanks,
Phil
