I'm going to be building up a broken 5spd with PPG's and will be looking to sell my 06 WRX transmission. Transmission shifts perfect and have not abused it, too afraid to. Getting a full dogbox. It only has about 8k miles on it.
Looking for some offers.

I don't know about the new '06 models, but 3.54 is the rear reduction drive and 3.9 is for the transmission ratio on 02-05. |

Yeah, I totaly know that too, just spaced when I typed it out. we all make errors from time to time. I meant to do a longer post about the US WRX transfer case being 1.1:1 and the rear diff being 3.54 then wondering if the new tranny is 1:1 or not . and just ended up hosing the whole post.

Granted I did mess up my first post on the final of the WRX. But the only the 02'-05' wrx trannys have the 1:1.1 reduction, the non turbo sedans are 4.11 front and rear with a 1:1 transfer. It is 3.90/1.1 that equates 3.54~ not 4.11/1.1 that would be 3.736, see how easy it is to post the wrong number when composing your thoughts to wrinting.
Sorry for hyjacking your thread Paintballguy Quote:

The 06 WRX's also use a push style clutch (the same setup that all of the NA cars from 1990-current use, along with the 2005 and newer Legacy GT's and Outback XT's) All of the other turbo cars use a stronger push style clutch (1991-1994 Turbo Legacy, 2002-2005 WRX, 2004-current STI)...
Best bet is to find someone with an 06 wrx who needs a tranny ![]() |
