Default FT: Modded A-pillars for non modded...or free stereo stuff to you!

MUST BE WAGON!!!!

I have A- Pillars I mounted tweeters in and have now gone and bought different tweeters that are a bit smaller....so now I have to either fiberglass the hole smaller or find someone to trade these with and give the tweeters away! You can have the crossovers that go with them as well. All I want is your stock A-pilars.

They look like this:UPDATED PIC

And they sound a hell of alot better than any of they tweeters mounted in the door.

The crossovers have been modded to accept a 2ohm midwoofer and should be used with the mids found here. I will throw in the spacers so its a drop in thing for you.

They should...

I thought I was linking the pic of my current tweeters...whoops. Those are my old kicker tweeters that are now in Jon's car.

I need to get my camera and take a current pic and change it tonight as the other pics are on my home machine.

Sorry.

Yes they are wrapped in grey grille cloth.

I live in Manassas and I would recommend driving these off an amp if you are going to use the crossovers and mids the whole thing was designed for they will present a 2 ohm load to the amp. I don't think the headunit would be a good candidate to push these. If you wanted to use JUST the tweeter side of the crossover you would be fine.

Sure you could...but you would have to get an L-pd and gain them WWWWWWAAAAAAYYYYY down or they would sound really odd with the Diamond's. Plus I wouldn't really run them off the Diamond crossovers as adding these to your existing setup would screw with the existing crossover point....and depending upon how you wired it the crossover point would go up or down.

The best bet would be to use my crossover and add an L-pad as a resistor after it if you want to drop the volume level of an ambient tweeter. Thus having these tweeters on their own crossovers.

But really to be honest its not the best idea. I would either get these A-pillars and I could mount the Diamond tweeters in them for you (abandoning the door mount tweeters) as I think the Diamond tweeters are a more standard 1" tweeter than the CDT tweeters that I just bought....or buy another set of Diamond tweeters and have a custom crossover made for you with a variable resistor so you could gain them down and have the adjustability you want.

Manassas is in Northern Virginia near DC and Fairfax.
