Thumbs up Finally got the VF39 installed and tuned!

Thanks to Scott Siegle

and Will Mahan

at SOG

The buyeye has a new leash on life. VF39, STI intercooler, 06 WRX injectors and a Perrin EBC.

I went from a Topspeed Stage 2, which was really fun (thats Doug ) to a Stage 4. The lag difference is minor and the top end pull is so smooth and hard.

I was happy with the Stage 2 from Doug but at 90k I was ready to find out what all those swapped turbo people kept talking about. The bad news is I'll be switching from STX to SM and will most likely get owned by 15 year old Civics

Scott took good care of the car and road tunned the hell out of it (burned up an entire tank of gas!) to make sure it was Safe, Smooth and Stable.

I am currious what numbers I'm putting down, Scott guesses north of 270awhp and 290awlbft based on similar setups.

Will is a wrenching monkey and hooked a brother up! That man had the stock turbo off in about 10 minutes!

Here's to hoping my clutch lasts

Wow, good to hear Pat!

That would be awesome if you put down that kind of power.. mine with the VF34, pinks and STi top mount was 250 whp and 238 tq.

Mike that is about what I was expecting too. At this point it is all just speculation.

Although, Justin was telling me that my car "hung with an STI"
and my car has always been strong

The silver ones were always the strongest pulling cars

Someday you'll have to take me for a ride Patrick.

Congrats on the new parts. I too am a SoG customer. In fact Scott's estimate is prolly based off my setup: EJ205, VF39, Ver 7 JDM TMIC, Modded WRX injectors, EBCS, EcuTek, Gruppe-S headers, ERZ up/downpipe, Exedy LW fly and GFB pulleys.

My car was faster than a stock STi at the dragon, and as fast as some very modded WRX's.

-Mike.

EDIT: forgot, different dynos, different numbers, blah blah blah.

275 awhp/ 290 awtq. Yes, it's a blast. Scott tuned it mildly too...I plan on going back and getting a second map uploaded. That one will be a bit more aggressive...there's this Ferrari that keeps bothering me.
