quick question, i have a secretweapon intake from WeaponR and im wondering how to make a heat shield for it. I know it probably wont do anything, but should i make the shield all the way around the intake, or would that block the airflow still coming from the grill area of the car?
btw, the air filter sits right where the stock airbox used to be..so would the snorkle still bring air in? thanks

Snorkle will still bring in air if there is something for it to feed from.
I have an HKS DD 200mm filter where my Legacy's stock box was and I did the following: -Completely remove airbox -Bend a sheet of aluminum or plastic to bolt where the airbox bolted, blocking off the hot air blown at the filter from the radiator -Cut a huge hole in the front of the snorkle, allowing it to scoop air upwards while driving I only gained about 1whp (got a dyno at work), but response was noticbly sharper. Sucking in cold air is better than sucking in hot air. Do it. |
