Question More hp?

I am thinking of removing my ac. My first question is, will i see any hp gains( from less paresitic drag). If i just remove the belt will I see the same results as if I removed the whole system. And what would be some problems that might occure? Has anyone done this before and what were the results?

You will see some marginal gains if you remove it. It doesn't matter if you take it out or just take the belt off. But taking it out completely, drops 30-40lb of weight. But since you are in Canada, I suggest just removing the belt. You will want it in the winter to make your defroster work properly...

you gots to have a/c in the hot a$$ summer, and you really need the defroster for those cold a$$ mornings. like matt said, if you removed just the compressor you'd drop about 30-40 lbs. but if you removed all the a/c components (compressor, lines, fluid, condensor/evaporator) you could lose up to about 60 lbs. but i dont think its worth it.
