Hey guys,

Here's the deal with the car...I bought it as a theft recovery. Its in perfectly good shape with no damage was done to the car at ALL (otherwise i wouldn't have bought it). I even had it inspected myself just to be sure. But, while i had it on my driveway it recently received some hail dings.

EDIT: A good majority of the hail is fixed!! AND dropped the price

Details on the car are as follows:

Year: 2006
Price: $29,200
Color: Obsidian Black Pearl
Transmission: 5 speed
Kilometers: 14,000
Options: Dual mode heated front seats, Rear spoiler, Heated side mirrors and windshield wipers de-icer, Power tilt/sliding-glass moonroof, in-dash 6disc changer, 17 inch wheels, 4 pot brakes, air conditioning, block heater.
Pictures: (click to enlarge)

Feel free to give me a call if you would like to see the car,
403.605.9791

UPDATE: Updated Price!

If there is hail damage on the car I think $33,900 is high. There is an 06 for sale with 11 000 kms on it for $35 000, with all options and its never been stolen and no damage.

Regardeless if it has been stolen or not, there has been no damage to the car and is in excellent mechanical condition...take a look at rat fink's post (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1040486) and youll see his is $2000 more, which could cover the cost of fixing the hail and maybe even leave you with some pocket change!

No offence but $33.9k for a car that's now labeled "stolen recovered" + hail damage is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too high. Even the dealerships are selling used 06's for 30k. Odds are there is NO WARRANTY on this car since its stolen. Most manufacturers does this now and they don't want to deal with stolen cars which have been beat on or are missing parts .

Whoever buys this car will have to repair the hail damage, have no warranty and resale is affected since it has a "stolen" label on the ownership. You're asking pricing based on a mint '06 that should look like it just left the showroom and is still fully warrantied.. Honestly any buyer would need an incentive to take this car. Pricing at $25k is more realistic. If that motor blows tomorow its going to be out of pocket to whoever owns it.

As a reference I was looking at a theft recovered 02 WRX a while back. Granted it had worst dings and some had more cosmetic damage but they sold it for $5k when the average one is selling for $20k. Not trying to be nasty but just realistic.

Thanks for your comments, but i feel its fairly priced. After a 100 + point inspection from subaru the car is fine, and DOES have full warranty.

FYI, the cars history does not neccesarily void its warranty, for example, I owned an 03 g35 coupe that had a rebuilt status and still was covered under warranty no problem. I had many items repaired and the dealership was completely aware of the cars status...even the extended warranty option was still available.

As for your comments on the dealerships selling new 06's for $30k, i have yet to see a used 06 sedan, and there are no sedans on the canada trader in the alberta region...

Sorry if i sound rude, im just trying to back up my decision on price. I'm flexible on price, so please msg me if your at all interested.

thanks
-george

I for one always believed that if you think someone is asking too much for something, you should notify them via PM. Buyers need to beware, but throwing darts at someone's pricing on the open forum usually accomplishes very little.

why would warrenty be void if it is stolen? its not like the they wont cover your blown struts because it was stolen and recovered with no damage.

i'm not understanding your question properly....the car was a theft recovery...which can be seen by doing a carfax on it. Registration on the car shows 'active'

I think you might have to drop even more than that to sell it. All I could get for my 06 WRX with even lower mileage....and not a gimped car....was 30,500. I had it listed for a little bit more than that and nobody even called my house. I dropped to 30,500, and even then, only 1 guy was interested (the guy who bought it).

good luck. It's hilarious with how bad these cars suck to try and sell.

They are so hard to sell because of the dollar, most people who buy these cars know these cars. The also know that they can get a 06 for around 21k US and end up bringing it here all in for about 26k canadian.

Bump for a great seller!
