Default SOA Huge Help to me.

I bought an '09 WRX in October here in Michigan. I noticed the Dunlop Sport 01 tires looked pretty aggressive and thought I would how they would do in the winter. The window sticker said as standard equipment; 225/45/17 All Season Tires. About a week after having the car i looked up replacement tire cost on the Tire Rack site and found that they were summer only tires. As many of you may know we get snow in Michigan. I did not want to shell out $500-$600 for snow wheels and tires. I contacted SOA and told them of the misprint and they agreed to replace the Dunlops with Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position tires that I requested.

I am pleased with the car, tires and SOA

Rob

If it was on the window sticker that the car comes with all season tires. Subaru didn't have much choice. It was either give him the tires, or refund the purchase (if the op wanted to play hardball).

not to be an ass but all these people complaining about their 09 wrxs having summer tires is just plain stupid. not saying the original poster is doing this but come on, when subaru announced the new 09s they clearly stated that they had summer tires on them, so what if there was a misprint on the window sticker. you should know a bit more about your car before you go and buy it. if you are learning about your car off the window sticker then you deserve to not know what you are buying. i really think its awesome SoA bought you new all seasons, but i think you should have to return the summers. maybe subaru should make it an option, but i would rather not since they would put those crappy RE92s back on it. you are really lucky they didnt just give you a set of those. sorry about the rant too, just getting tired of seeing threads about people buying cars with summers on them and complaining about them not having all seasons, comeon, these are performance cars. performance cars deserve summers. end rant.

Um, what? -> "I contacted SOA and told them of the misprint and they agreed to replace the Dunlops with Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position tires that I requested."

Also, these are supposed to be "rally-inspired" cars, and rally is certainly more than tarmac roads in the summer.

not hating, well maybe a bit...but having to purchase a new set of winters or all seasons is a small price to pay for having a performance car. i think its awesome they did this for him.
