Default Dumb Forester FXT Q

Doesn't the FXT use the same engine as the STi? if so, how does it loose 70hp?? smaller turbo?

smaller turbo, lesser heads, different ecu tuning and a smaller intercooler are a few of the reasons why the FXT is down on power. It still mainatins virtually the same block though giving it a good amount of modding potential.

With just a catless DP and a tune you will be up to STi hp.

My neighbor has been buggin me about selling him my 02WRX for a while now, I'm trying to think if I can salvage any of my aftermarket parts, like DP, if I were to trade up for something with a little more trunk space. Do you guys tune many FXT's, Tora?

We've done a bunch, some mild, some wild. Your DP should fit no problem, suspension fits (lowers it A LOT).

looks like the heads are the same.
I wasn't aware that the FXT shared the same heads, AVCS and all.

wow.
FXT is looking to be a bigger performance bargain than even the WRX.
