I'm now selling the entire yakima setup that mounts to your roof and not windows. Barely used, I'll ship anywhere. PM me

Took the stock wheels to get snow tires put on. Wagon used to be able to fit wheels and tires inside. Now with the sedan, wheels up top, tires inside.

No more wagon now, eh? How big are you planning to go for wheels/tires now that the wagon isn't holding you back?

My wagon got totalled remember? I have 18x10+40 Volk Racing TE37SL on my 2011 STI. I will be doing 275/35R18... just be conservative And of course, I am talking about R comps and not street tires. For street tires, I think certain 285 and 295 could fit, but I don't see the point.

Definitely, flatties FTW.

I also ditched my clipless two years ago and never looked back. I still do a ton of XC, but it is with aggressive riders on challenging trails. We have many descents and drops that would be sketchy in clips. It helps coming from BMX and trials so we don't miss clips that much.

We all did some long races (ex. 50 miles) and a 24 hour race on flatties. Some of the "hardcore" C guys just shook there heads as they passed us on the climbs, and we did the same when we blasted them on the downs .

I have a terrible memory since I drove into a tree a few years ago, so I must've forgotten. What size are you going to do for street tires?

I have some Wellgo pedals that are clipless on one side and flats on the other side. Best of both worlds.

Most likely 275/35r18 since I heard it's gangster to have wide meat. but the truth is that 275/35 is cheaper than 265/35.

Just put it back on for spring/summer time for kayaking. Didn't have time to put on the yakima showboat.

Yakima 44" fairing on a 08+ wrx sedan with the factory crossbars

Who's done it? I just tried an idea with the factory bike clamps from subaru and failed lol
Now I need 1 new fairing bar from yakima

So have anyone done it with success? I dont care for the Thule fairing

BMX explains it, my friends who BMX make fun of me for riding clipped in on their tracks. I all comes down to being comfortable, and being willing to be made fun of

Started to put my rack on today and discovered my bars are shot and I can't find the key to my rack.

So ive been looking at racks lately...and they seem to be pretty expensive with a full setup (crossbars, fairing, bike mount).

What am i looking to spend for a rack that mounts on the roof instead of the windows? Any advantages/disadvantages over the other? Id prefer roof mounted as it looks cleaner though...
