Haha, I was totally joking. I hate the chrome headlights. One of these days I'll paint them. I was on the search for a 2011 Limited, but the three that were within 500 miles of me in December sold before I could sell my BMW, so I had to get a 2012.

Painted looks much better, I want to pant mine as well, although they aren't chrome like the 07s, I still don't like the stock 06s that much.
Black looks great on headlights in my opinion.

Question for anyone with the factory Subaru cross bars.

I recently bought a set of cross bars for my 2011 WRX Sedan. I bought from a guy who had a 2011 Impreza Outback which, if I'm not mistaken, includes them from the factory.

Anyway, I installed them and they mount/fit perfectly. This past weekend, I got an INNO bike carrier to carry my mountain bike. I noticed that the bars, especially the front one, flex's a lot when hitting bumps, with the bike mounted up there. It's kinda scary actually and I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the bars or if this is usual for them. I know they're pretty thin (aero style) but there is a sticker that says they have a 176 lb weight limit (evenly distributed). My bike is only 25 lbs so it's kinda surprising. Anyway, let me know if those of you with the factory bars have the same issue. Thx

Mine flexed when I had the OEM bars. I figured it was ok, but it bothered me enough to go to a Yakima setup.

Factory crossbars do tend to flex quite a bit, even with a seemingly small amount of weight. That being said, that does sound excessive. You may want to swing by the dealership and see if that is normal. In my experience, factor crossbars will flex more than aftermarket, but not to that extent. Does anything move at the mounting points? Or is it only the bar that is flexing?

Only the cross bars. Nothing seems broken but obviously they're used. With the stiff suspension it gets kinda scary with a bike up there...

Interesting.. you can always step up to a Yakima or Thule set up, but I would take it to the dealer and see what they say first. That doesn't sound normal. It shouldn't matter if its used or not. Thats sketchy. Lol which bike rack are you using with it?

I just got through INNO bike carrier. I can't imagine they're any different since I think they all use brackets for mounting.

Everything is mounted tightly on the carrier (to the crossbars)? I had an issue where I thought my Yakima Fork Mount was on tight until I drove it out of my driveway. Turns out I had to put the front clamp on the lowest setting before tightening it down, and it had been on the middle one.

My OEM rack has a good amount of flex with a bike mounted but everything seems secure. I figure I am well under the weight limit so I should be good. I would prefer to mount my tray to a far edge but unfortunately my inno fairing takes up that place

Anyone have pics of a rack on a 2012 Imp? I saw a few over on the 2012 Imp thread, but just wondering if there is anyone over here that might not check / post on that thread.

Over the winter, I was actually able to fit the bike mount and my Thule snowboard rack (2 boards wide) on at the same time, albeit just barely.
