Nope no locks. I guess I had it coming but damn, I've had that thing for a while. Car looks naked without it.

Go with bolted to the roof and locks on that! You won't regret it. Sorry to hear it was stolen. Check Craig's list to see its for sale.

Feet, load bars and trays are all you need (a fairing is a plus), which you have all listed here.

Now, I'd seriously consider the Rocky Mounts Pitchfork trays (what your bike will attach to). They're better built, lower profile, paint won't chip and much cheaper than the Thule or Yakima trays (I found mine for $80 per tray online). One downside to using Rocky Mounts as your tray, your lock core keys won't be compatible, with the feet lock cores. Another big plus to the Rocky Mounts is that they come in a variety of colors (and of course black if you don't want to be flashy). The Pitchfork trays only work with Thule square and Yakima round load bars, not the Subaru OEM or any "aero" load bar (Rocky Mounts has a "Tie Rod" tray for those, which is quite a bit more expensive).

No, I don't work for Rocky Mounts, I just used Thule trays for years and these are that much better.

Here's a picture of mine. Notice they sit with a fairly low profile above the load bars.

I would go with those trays but I work at a bike shop and get a pretty solid discount on thule & yakima so it looks like i'm going to go with their setup. I'm getting a fairing too. Thanks for all the help man

I thought it was a dryer.

Where is it positioned?

Is it on the car?

What's this have to do with roofracks?

If we are posting pics of your dryer/stove, I'll make a new thread for that

It's a stacked washer dryer straight sitting on my Thule rack. Unfortunately that's the only footage through the sunroof of my gc.

Just picked up two Thule 599xrt used for $78. A mad steal. I hope they aren't stolen lol. Had to order the adaptor for aero blades. Will post pictures when everything is mounted :-D

Do you guys leave your racks on all summer if you've got bikes? I've switched from hitch rack to roofrack for my bikes. I have Yakima highrollers. With my hitch rack, its easy on off. With the high rollers, its heavy and awkward. Just looking to see what folks are doing. The reason I switched is because my bike is pretty heavy and it would bounce around on the hitch. Its probably fine, but I just didn't trust it. Especially whenmy friends bike is on there also. If i had two bikes I'd use a strap attached to the trunk. I was always worried with the bouncing it would crease the trunk lid. We both have 40lb bikes now so its a bit of weight back there.

I keep my rack and accessories on. The Yakima raptor is a BITCH to take off if you use the universal mighty mounts, so I don't mind leaving it on.
