For anyone looking to sell a pair of Yakima 58" bars, or trade for a pair of used 48" bars, shoot me a PM.

Wow, you're a moron.

Did you ever think that I asked for your location to see if you are close to me? We can all see that you are from Pennsylvania from your profile.

Do you think everyone checks that? But to be honest I forgot my profile had that info. Now do you have anything you are willing to sell or are we just going to keep harassing each other

I transferred my rack over from my '05. The new direct mount feet are way better.

Just picked up my '12 Impreza Sport Ltd with factory rails. Debating going with the Yakima Whispbar or the OEM Aero cross bars. Is anyone using the OEM Aero bars? I'm just concerned about weight capacity and integration, though I believe they're actually manufactured by Yakima, and all the bike / ski racks I've seen look like they would integrate without needing the mighty mounts.

I haven't read all 200+ pages, but I did go back a good ways and didn't notice any OEM Aero crossbars..

JDM Forester Cross Sports bumper with the Crossfire front lip. Also the matching JDM Forester Cross Sports "Sporty Grille" with vents.

Yakima Highroller. I installed it backward so I can still open the hatch.

Forgive my newb-ness. I've owned my 2007 WRX Wagon since 2007 =p, and they came with factory rails and cross bar. I recall there's a 100lbs limit on it though.

Now I just bought my first bike since 10 years old... and wish to some how mount this. From your picture, it looks like you used the OEM rack. (I like the installing it backwards idea so you can use the hatch btw)

My question for everyone is, can i buy some thule or yakima bicycle rack and use it on my factory cross bars? Thanks everyone

Yeah just make sure you look at the mounting points for the bike tray to make sure theyll be the right size. Like my tray didnt fit my forester oem bars so I had to sell it. They should have a catalog thatll let you see which ones fit certain oem bars.

And a thread is worthless without pics...

Question for all with 08-09 wrx/sti oem cross bars?? Have any of you changed out the plastic locks on the cross bars to a actual Thule lock?? If so how do you get the plastic lock out???

Thanks..
