Need a small basket to strap a stroller onto using OEM cross bars. Don't wanna spend over 100 bucks.

Any thoughts?

Got the roof box for free, someone was throwing it out with complete hardware, keys, etc...just needed a good coat of paint and a new seal.

I bought this:

Amazon.com: SportRack A21030 Roof Basket: Sports & OutdoorsAmazon.com: SportRack A21030 Roof Basket: Sports & Outdoors

When I got it the price was $120....no idea why the price skyrocketed. Just a basis for search.

My GF just got http://www.hitchanything.com/Rola-59...FZRj7Aod3GkAwQ for her Crosstrek. It is very good construction and easy mounting. It is usually 250, but they are going for any from 120 to 175 (she paid 125). Must be last years model or something. We were very surprised with the quality when it got here.

Good luck

The OEM cross bars are pretty much the same from 08-13. Just the newer cross bar is more of an arrow bar now and feet are more arrow too! But they all bolt on the same way.

Drove about 80 miles highway with it, super secure when i looked up through sunroof. Did have a good amount of wind noise, but expected.

pretty solid setup.

Any idea of a big roof basket that can fit on the '08+? And if it's possible to mount [removable] crossbars on them? I would like something that can carry a full size spare (205/75-15) as well as 2 Kayaks (on carriers). I'm also planning of putting a few lights on it as well. The older people in my neighborhood like to go for late night walks with their dogs. I am aware that the MOAB with an extension will fit the bill, the it doesn't fit my wallet. Does anyone make something similar for a lower price?

Best solution I came up with is a common mod using Thule tracker 2 footpacks and going with a roof rail delete. The Thule crossroads look funny ad Stick out a bunch IMO. You can always trim the crossbars to fit your preference however. I don't have a basket, but I'll post pics of my new setup when I get home later.

I'm sure Thule and yakima make adapters to fit stock crossbars. I know Thule does for sure, and they are who I'd recommend hands down.

EDIT-

My preferred choice would be-
