You can get an Inno Grab Max with locks on autoanything.com for 115 shipped. I just picked one up and I'm waiting for my OEM bars to come in. So far initial review is that it's solid construction and is very easy to install and use. Went with an INno medium fairing as well to complete the package.

Doing a cross country move from Chicago to Phoenix at the beginning of next year. I've been looking around for a roof basket and saw this one, seems like this one has good reviews and I want to confirm that they would work with the 08 oem thick crossbars, the first comment in the review came from a '12 Subaru so I'm assuming that it's not the same crossbars I have.

Can anyone confirm me that this would work? Thanks!

It should, but you can't see the mounting hardware. I got my basket from this website

Discountramps.com and had it mounted on my Trailblazer, 08 WRX, Santa Fe', and my 05 LGT all with OEM cross bars all shapes!

I'm taking my 13 wrx sedan to the inlaws for Christmas this year, so I'm gonna have to haul a bunch of toys and whatnot. I have a Rola roof basket, but no bars. I was thinking of just buying the own bars. Considering the weight of the rack plus luggage, will I be ok? That Rola is pretty darn heavy on its own.

Pretty sure that the oem bars are rating for 150 lbs evenly distributed.

Its a Yakima Skybox 16 or 18 I forgot. Its plasti-dipped and I did it myself. I first sprayed the whole cargo box all white with 5 cans (originally black) then masked each spot and sprayed 2 thick coats and ripped the tape off asap.

I just got in my order today

Thule Rapid System 754
Thule WingBar 969
Kit 1210
Thule Deluxe 727

going to put it on Saturday. Im going to order the fairing soon,
anybody have reviews on this setup?

Also does anybody know how to actually mount 4 snowboards on the Deluxe 727?
Do I have to remove the bindings? I havnt been able to find pictures yet..

With all boards having bindings on, would one be facing down and another on top of it? If the bindings are big or the roofrack sits low wont it hit the roof?

If it started black.....why not tape it off and just spray white? I may be missing something, but seems to be more cost effective and make more sense. Then again, my wife didn't marry me for my brain.

Anyone know of any holiday sales on racks? I had the oem bars on my '09Rex and they didn't like two mountain bikes on them, lots of flex over bumps. I'm in CO so not the best roads. I don't have preference on THULE or YAKIMA, but want to go with one of them.

Ok guys I need some help here with ordering my basket.

Two choices here to do.

1. Yakima Basketcase for $50 (used) and I'll need to get the Yakima Mighty Mount to work on my 08 aero bars for $30 so thats $80

2.
Highland 1041900 U-Venture Steel Rooftop Cargo BasketHighland 1041900 U-Venture Steel Rooftop Cargo Basket
for $95, not sure if the mounts on the rack would work with the aero bars or would I need to buy mounts to work on the bars?

Thanks for the help guys.

I just put them up yesterday.

I did the same thing last year with warm white lights and no issues with police even when they were driving behind me. We'll see what happens this year with the coloured lights

This is the Yakima Rocketbox Pro 14 on OEM bars. Mostly doing this so someone in the future can see how it fits (I couldn't find any images of this setup before I made my purchase).
