Does anyone know if the 2015 STi's are ready for cross-bar mounting? My dealership is trying to tell me they are not. I haven't see one up close yet, so I'm not sure who to believe.

new raptor Yakima rack on OEM bars. Still trying to get used to this whole non-fork mount bike rack thing. Not sure I like the height but it sure is convenient not having to carry a wheel in the trunk!

I had a raptor aero for a while. You're right, the convenience is great, but having to turn that wheel for a century to lock the bike up is a nightmare.

I'm kinda unhappy with my raptors. Even after a short trip to the local bike shop the bike was leaning and the knob was loosened significantly. Maybe my downtube is just too big for it. Should I upgrade to a better upright rack? Or a fork mount with a wheel holder?

Just picked up a Yakima setup with the Q towers and bars for my car so I can throw a few bikes up top. Just wanted to see who has used these and what their thoughts on them are. The deal was too good to pass up, so just wanted some input. This will be going on an 04 WRX Sedan.

Thanks for the recommendation Javabot. Those are really affordable. Probably gotta pick up the fork mount. The upright mount seems similar to my raptors and might not work too well with my fat ass downtube

No prob wong. Know though that I used the aero subaru clips($25) and NOT the hardware (~$62). I bought bolts from lowes 1/4" medium thread I think but had to drill out a hole or two on the rack to use the new clips/bolts but it was cake.

Also I don't know about you but I have a mtn bike too and I just use the ratchets on the end or inside of wheels so it holds them tighter at an angle. They aren't really needed for holding bike to rack.

Wait, don't you have a lock and key that makes the knob turning have no effect on the grip?

With my Aero? It was; 1) turn to tighten 2) lock into place. After it was locked, turning the knob had no effect on the grip itself.

I'm sure there are. I just happened to see those in the store the other day so they were fresh on my mind when you posted.
I'm sure there are better executed ones out there too.

Love the sticker idea. Not so sure I would paint. You don't want it chipping an flaking over time.

Those of you with sunroofs: have you learned to live without?

I have a sunroof and love to use it but between the powder dogs in the winter and Raptors in the summer, I can't find time to enjoy it open due to all the noise.

Anyone have suggestions?
