Does the Thule/yakima snowboard rack fit the stock Subaru cross bars on a 2008 WRX Sedan?

Is that just a garage or is that attached to your house? Is the tall door for an RV?

Looks great! Please post side and angle shots so we can see how it connects. I'm curious if it mounts in front of the rails. If it does, would you be willing to make another one?

Yikes, I didn't realize materials were that expensive.

this is the rack setup on my wifes DD, 99 Impreza wagon

you can see in the last pic that everything mounted straight to the factory aerobar. snowboard rack was easy, bike rack had to be assenbled different than in directions. needed 2 so a crossbar would stabilize the bikes against eachother.

not much road noise, comfortably stable up to 85mph loaded

still needs fairing

^can see my DD over the top right of this one

endcap missing

loaded pics:

i know the bikes look crooked, the rack was loaded quick and dirty. the handle bars push against each other, unless i load them just right, but didnt bother for the pics

I'm in San Diego. Where would I go to get a snowboard rack for an 04 wrx? Looking for preferably Yakima.

Quick question. I already have a Yakima system from my old Volkswagen Corrado, consisting of 51" bars (cut down and capped from 58"), Q Towers, 38" fairing, 4 lock cores. I'd preferably like the Control Towers with the Landing Pads, but for $55 to get the Q83 clips and possible another $50 for a longer, 44" Fairing, I just can't justify the $400 + price of going with the Control Towers.

So anyone have any issues with the Q Towers? I was just worried about my paint or denting my roof on my '11 WRX. Also, will probably definitely need the 44" fairing as opposed to the 38" that I already have?

thanks in advance.

Craigslist, REI, Rack Attack (if you have one). You can go to the Yak/Thule websites to see local retailers that carry gear.
