You may want to look for one of these

The single clamp racks often result in a lot of sway and limit the type of bike you can carry.

Now, that is the shizz... where do you get those?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see it's a thule system. $$$, but probably worth it for the flexibility. I can take camping gear on the roof and bike's on the back... sweet!

+1 on this type. Assuming you only need to carry two bikes, they are the jam. Try Racks Unlimited here in Calgary.

Just checked the thule website and apparently you can get a 4-bike version as well.

There are non-Thule versions too.

Holy mother of pearl! Thule and Yakima are each $600 and only hold 2 bikes! I've seen this Sportrack version in action: http://www.rackattack.biz/shopexd.asp?id=1245

It seems to work okay. Don't you wish you had a wagon?

Even with 2 bikes you can end up with $7,000 worth of gear on a rack pretty quick. Take it from someone that had a no name rack come off on the highway; shell out the money and buy a thule or yakima.

I work at a bike shop and we sell the Saris one called the "Cycle-On". Best rack ever. I have seen and used a lot, but this is one that I will not stray from. They retail for $399 for two bikes, and you can add on one or two more bikes, depending on if you want to carry 2, 3, or 4. Seriously, check out the Saris one.

Keith.
