Default Deadbolt Super16g - Tuned by Clark Turner of Vivid Racing

So the gf and I took a trip out from SoCal to see Clark in AZ. Clark worked his magic and here are the results on 91oct. gas:

The previous tune (road tune) was done by Simon Lines formally of Prodrive.

Clark tune: 293/286
Simon tune: 269/244

I'm very very happy w/the results. The 5 1/2 hr. drive was well worth it in my opinion. I have fallen in love w/teh wagon once again. CLARK is the man!!!!

Can I get an AMEN?

LIST of parts and other stuff:

Deadbolt Super16g
JDM TMIC
Cobb Catted DP
Daddy's Header/Up-pipe
PE 650 inj.
APS Turbo Inlet
AEM CAI
Perrin Pulley
Walbro FP
Borla "Hush" Exhaust
EcuTek

Crucial cooling kit (t-stat, redline water wetter) (coolant is overdue for a change)
NGK one step colder plugs w/6k on them
OIL: Mobil 1 10w30 dino w/2500 miles of usage
Trans. fluid: Uncle Scotty's cocktail w/2500 miles of usage
Fuel filter due for a change

If you have any questions please ask. I'll do my best to answer. Hopefully Clark will chim in to answer some questions as well.

THANK YOU CLARK!!

Vince

POWER UPDATE: I've since installed a Greddy Profec B Spec II Boost controller and a Prodrive intake. Clark has also re-tuned the wagon for the two new pieces.

Looks like the key to power on the wonderful 91 we get here is to make sure the AFRs are 11.5:1 by the time boost starts hitting and taper it to 11:1 towards redline.

I bet that lets you run a more boost and timing. So what was the before/after peak boost?

iirc the before was 17.5. after. hhhmmm i wanna say 22 peak. but i think that was when clark pushed the car to 306 whp. hopefully he'll be able to clear this up.

hey vince i thought you had a regular 16G but it's a super16g!!! very nice man.

but yea, i dunno if i told you that i got my car retuned. i gutted my hi-flow cat this time around. my numbers are off gruppe-s's dyno. it was tuned in about 100* weather at 20psi. on a cold night i hit 23psi. i wanna see what clark can do with my car for sure. he loves AVO turbos from what i've been reading.

Kick ass man. Glad to hear you are happy.....I told you Clark was the man!

Nice pic of teh wagon as well. When Clark tuned me it was butterfly or moth season in the desert so the front end of my car looked like hell on the dyno.

Looks like you have a REAL kick ass mid-range car now. All that power on 91 as well.....who'd a thunk it? Be nice though....with those numbers, I feel sorry for your gears.

he just tuned my wagon as well, ecutek on mine, with perrin up pipe, tbe and samco intercooler hoses he was able to get me up to 235hp at 14.2 boost - funny huh stock boost but it put the numbers down and was an increase of 35hp so I just "smiled and waived" he did a great job and it was a really great experince. And will be going back to get tuned when I get my next package put together - for now I am happy- ++Clark

He works there. I think he is heading to vegas for a couple days (saw post on SWIC) and then back here to AZ to work the 9-5 @ Vivid - They have a nice facility and always something cool on the lifts -

I wish I knew all the details of why he is not at Kingpin anymore, and why he went to such an awful company as Vivid. "The world may never know."

Clark doesn't seem to disappoint... that must be fun 16G power.

Any mention of what a stock WRX and STI put down on the Vivid dyno?
