Default GC intake manifold on a NA bugeye

Is there a possibility that installing the GC intake manifold
will give idling problems?

the previous guy who did so experienced it.

My stock intake manifold is much shorter,
so hoping this can help to increase torque.

Please advise thanks.

How much shorter is it? When the intake manifold was removed were the TGVs also removed? Maybe the TGVs were left in and the full length manifold was put on, and that's what screwed **** up. Ask the previous guy as I am not familiar with the Subaru NA engines at all.

No TGV as far as i am aware.

by theory, a manifold thats too long will also cause idle problems?
