Default Attention Car Enthusiastís, Car clubs, & Weekend Warriors

I just got this information from a fellow insurance broker who collects cars. Well it is a letter in regards to a facility they are building out in Suffolk County (Long Island). The facility is going to be very family based and will have an oval track, drag strip, motocross and atv parks.

Wanted to know if anyone is willing to get involved to help us make sure we get this built out in Suffolk.

This idea has been kicked around for years with regard to various locations in Eastern LI and none ever came to fruition. Although it would be nice, unless it is already a done deal I'd be skeptical of actually seeing it built given the fierce competition over real estate out that way.

Im skeptical too. Didnt Trump want to build a NASCAR track in Atlantic City??? Lots of ideas get kicked around but there is a ton of work to do before ground even gets broken on such a project.

There probably was such a post, I know it's been mentioned here before.
Don't forget the well-financed but ill-fated effort to keep Bridgehampton from closing a number of years back, and then to get it re-opened. That was a no go and the Bridge was a long-established and historically significant track. Getting a new motorsports facility built on LI is not a likely thing to happen.

Ok just got off the phone with Pat from Top gun in reguards to the plans for the course. He said there looking to also do auto cross, and drift at the complex. If this does get done it would be great for the car world. Pat stated that they are a lil slow with the process of getting the land, but he said that the best thing that we can do is to sign the petition to show our support of this. He is going to keep me in the loop about any meetings that will be coming up in the future aswell. Here is a link to the petition for the complex. Please fill this out and submit it, the more we support this it will be harder for them to stop it from happening. http://topgunse.com/petition.asp
