Default Cylinder 3 and 4 misfire

Hey guys:
I'm looking for some help with my wife's 2000 forester. 127k miles, tbelt changed at 107k miles
About a month ago, the cel threw 1,2,3,4 misfire. Checked the plugs, ngk oem, the plugs wires were fine with the resistance test. So i checked the coil pack, it checked bad so i replaced it with a new oem from dealer. I thought the problem was gone, then two weeks later, the car wouldnt start, it turned over and finally after a few cycles of cranking it started but threw 3 and 4 misfire. Changed the plugs and problem went away for a few weeks. After moving here to SLC, the car starts doing this again. Only after it sits overnight does it run rough on intial start up. after a minute or so it clears up and runs fine.
I then decided yesterday to change the o2 sensor, car seems to run fine about 50 miles, then this morning after sitting all night, i get the same 3 and 4 misfire upon startup, then after about a minute, the engine clears up and runs fine for the rest of the day.
Ive been at other boards and some have suggested replacing the crankshaft or knock sensor. I really dont want to throw any more money until i have a more definite reason .
any help/thoughts would be appreciated
