Big inventory, you can deal w/ these guys, but for service go elsewhere. There service is slow for the simple stuff (oil changes etc) and their accuracy in upgrades for new cars also needs improvement. The friendly factor also could use some improvement (in the service dept.).

I was there today, hoping to pick up a WRX wagon. My friend saw an ad that they were running 0% financing. I figured if I could get the car a couple of hundred above invoice and 0% financing, it'd be a great deal.
The people there (Pat was the initial sales person, JJ was the "WRX specialist" and Craig was the sales manager) was pleasant to talk to and didn't give us (I went with a friend who is looking to buy the WRX sedan) much BS. We test drove a WRX wagon around the busy streets of Van Nuys, which wasn't quite satisfying, but did give us some idea of its acceleration. Plus both my friends and I know of the great potential of the car. We head back to the dealer to start further discussions. When the sales person asked what it would take for me to buy the car today, I said 0% financing and a couple of hundred above invoice. He proceeds to go into the office, then motion for us to go in. The manager comes out and offers $500 above invoice (though they had a strange $200 dealer prep. did anyone have this charge?), so $22700 or so. Then asked how I would like to pay. I said 0% financing. He told me no way, because the dealer were paying for the finance charge (since the 0% was not a Subie thing, but a dealer thing). If I was going to pay MSRP, then I can get 0% financing. ![]() That didn't sound like 0% financing to me. So we walked out. Oh well. It would have been sweet to leave with the car, but I'm in no hurry. |

I'm going to trade up to an Sti soon and went by Big Valley to check it out. last time I did that I drove away with my WRX (From Big Valley) so I could've done the same today very easily.
After a little while of checking out the car a salesman comes out and I ask if I can sit in the Sti (Knowing I'm not getting a test drive), "No one sits in the Sti" he says. Oh kay... Guess I won't be buying it from there then. |

The best % I have been able to find has been 3.9 over 5 years.
In order to get the 0% you have to pay half the price of the car upfront, after which you can finance the rest over 3-5 years(seems kinda pointless to me......) So get together 11.5k and you can have your 0% Good luck |

Hey guys,
I apologize for your bad experience at the Van Nuys dealership, if you guys would like, you can visit us here at Sierra Subaru in Monrovia (off of the 210 freeway). You can either talk to me, Rex, regarding anything on our lot. We offer a bonus lifetime oil change every 7500 miles on ALL of our purchases. ![]() Regarding the STi's available, we will be getting in one white, one black and two silvers. We currently have one blue one in stock with the silver BBS's. Thanks all! Rex Subaru Sales Consultant and Road Rally extraordinaire. Hahaha. ![]() |

That's funny; wife and I showed up at Big Valley when we were thinking about STi's and EVO's. We showed up at both Big Valley and Miller Mitsubishi and drove both, no questions asked. Maybe it has to do with age or something? If they gave me tude, I'd walk out too. Your money is just as green as anyone elses.
