Ive done all the research i possibly can but to no avail. I am really into cars with alot still to learn, engines not being my strong point. From the pictures ive scene the intake goes into the fender, what is up with this. And ive also ready that when this intake is installed there is a hose that doesnt connect properly because there is no connector for it. Can anyone explain these things and if there are any extreme negative side effects to purchasing this intake.

thanks in advance.
Brett

It fits. And without tuning, you'll have nothing more than a noisemaker. Enjoy!

i did search and i did read that entire 20 page thread and if you read the first post you would know that. So to someone who is on this forum to help people instead of trolling. Can anyone answer my original questions without sarcasm. Im not concerned so much with horsepower for future reference.

Yes, a 2005 RS CAI from Injen will fit a 2006 2.5i.
It will bolt right on. Only modifications required is a longer hose and a "T" connector.

Any shop should be able to get you those 2 parts.

I've got another question....with "mad money to drop", why not buy a WRX in the first place?

I guess basically what everybody's wondering is, since you're clearly not buying this part for power when there are other parts out there that are the same price or cheaper that if they even make minimal power, at least add some other positives like smoother running or better gas mileage (headers, HFC's, pulleys, to name a few), why do you want an intake?

it goes into the fender to suck cold air, thats the point of that

and you need a T hose connector so the 2 hoses from the engine fit into the one from the intake, so 3 hoses one from intake, and two from motor go into the T
