Default Kal Tire - Calgary North Hill, & a wheel question.

I had a slow leak in my front drivers tire, so I stopped in at the Kal Tire by the North Hill shopping centre (it was close to where I was) to have it checked out.

They didn't find a leak, but they did leave an inch long scratch on my wheel (Prodrive PFF7). After a bit of discussion, they did agree to help with repairing it by paying for the cost of paint pen or some such.

Is there a close match for the Prodrive PFF7, or am I best of having the wheel refinished? What's the best way to repair such a large chip - sand off, prime, paint, sand, paint, clear?

Thanks..

PS: What do you do when you've gotta deal with something like this?

Call the head office and go all out, if that doesn't work, drive your car through the window.

that sh!! pisses me off.

I don't think a paint pen is acceptable as a repair. It should be repaired so that it is like you had it before you arrived. Like wrxfool posted, raise heck, talk to the manager and if that doesnt work, call the head office. If there was a way to drive your car through the window without getting scratches on your paint, you may consider doing that.

Also, from what I've read about the PFF7 is that you may have a tough time colour matching if you have the bright flitter finish.

And depending on how deep it is, I've heard that your wheel will never be the same, i.e going really fast you might feel it. Not sure if it is true but just what I heard.
