Default FS: 1997 GMC Sonoma GREAT MPG!!

Green 1997 GMC Sonoma
110459 miles
NADA Low Retail for 3550 only asking...$2500 OBO

2.2L 5 speed
4 BRAND NEW TIRES no more than 1k miles

oil/filter changed regularly
this truck runs awesome!...shifts smoothly...if you drive it you'll want it...this truck is an INVESTMENT at only 2500 dollars as much as gas costs NADA goes for 3550 low retail...it's also got a plastic bedliner (very strong) K&N air filter with box cut out, recent fuel filter change...clutch is strong and grabs fine...recent inspection

i bought this truck in april 2004 two weeks after i bought my wrx (no longer have wrx) for gas milage being as i used to drive 45 mins to and from work and the wrx wasn't practical

i'm not sure how many mpg it gets but it's the best on gas of any vehicle i've ever driven...also because i owned this at the same time i owned my wrx i maintained them both all the same...ALWAYS was on time for oil changes

the alternater is a refurbished one installin approx 8k miles ago....it was a kinda on the spot install so the one bolt used to put it in stripped and got stuck...alternator is mounted just fine but if it ever needs replaced again (prolly not) it's gonna need drilled/tapped again which is easy enough and only for mounting purposes

this was used as a work truck so i kept it running 100% but could have cared less about cosmetics...when i bought it, it had two tears from cigarettes in the interior..they aren't eye sores but they're there...the rear window latch broke off...i never replaced it cause it didn't do much anyway and the window still slides closed....one panel pops off on the passenger door (easy fix, i just didn't care)....recently the gas gauge stopped working (also easy fix and also i just didn't care, i knew the truck well...it's so lightweight that you could feel in the way it handled when the gas was low...if you ever owned one you know what i'm talkin about)

this is a great deal...i just really need money...i'm going to school full time and working full time and just need to get a little bit ahead

i originally got it as an alternative to the wrx which i don't own anymore...now i own a trailblazer and it's all i drive...

i don't currently have and pictures as the truck sits in smithfield, va it's nothng pretty to look at...you'd have to sit in the drivers seat to appreciate it...and drive it for a week all around town before you have to fill up to appreciate it even more

forgot to add the exterior is a lil rough too..i hit bob's (lotusdrift) garbage can one time and put a dent in the right fender...bob..if i didn't tell you about this it's cause i didn't hurt the trash can and i thought i could squeeze past it...the dent isn't major...it's about as big as my hand and the paint got scraped a little bit

the grille is also somewhat broken and the front bumper is a lil scraped from someone backing into it...

get this truck for a daily...not to lower and put wire wheels on...

forgot to mention that there's an annoying rattling sound underneath the truck...i'm pretty sure it's just a heat shield that worked its way loose...it doesn't affect how the truck runs at all just really loud at times and annoying...this is also an easy fix....reason i'm not fixing any of these things before i sell it is because like i said...i got to school/work full time...so i have NO time...if you'd like some of these things fixed and you give me a deposit and pay 2750 i'll fix broken window latch, door panel, rattling, gas gauge only if you pay 250 down and then pay the other 2500

price of 2500 is negotiable unless i fix these things

i just re-read this and i made the truck sound like it's a pile of ****...it's really not that ugly...the green is nice and there's only that one spot from hitting that damn garbage can and the grille which isn't even noticable....there's little dents here and there from using it as a work truck...it's ready for a hitch on the back too so if you wanna tow some jetskis or somethin it'll pull that just fine

if there's any interest i WILL get pictures up here..the truck will sell fast once i put it on auto trader....figured i'd try to hook some of my suby homies up...

oh when when it goes on auto trader i'll be asking 3k obo...so this is def a nasioc discount
