Default Pulley/RPM "issue"

Hello everyone,

I would like to request some experiences from you... I just installed a Mr.Josh lightened (not underdriven) crank pulley on my 05 RS Wagon and now my car idles at 400 RPMs. The revs quickly jump when i hit the throttle but I am a bit worried about this slow idle. the only other engine mod that I have is a short ram intake. Please someone assure me that all is good so i can sleep again...

Thanks,
Jason.

No the pulley should not affect the idle at all

Are you absolutely sure you are reading the RPM right? Not sure about the tach on the 05 but on the 02's many people mis-read the first 'thin' tick mark as 500 rpm - in fact it is 750

See http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=985608 for example
