Default Heads Up - Window Malfunction WRX

Just thought I'd put out there that my drivers side window will not go up, or down. All other windows work fine, and the window lock isnt activated. Its at the dealer today (for the first time).

On another note, I wonder what they will think of all my mods?

Suby - I'll post here the results. Probably just a faulty switch...with 19,000 miles on the car.

The word from them is it needs a new motor. They are ordering the part, and will install it for free (under warrenty).

They also mentioned that I need new tires ASAP. (Im holdin out for after market tires). They were not sure they could get it on the lift because of it being so low, but they did rotate the front to the back for me. The said nothing about all the other mods (nitrious, TB exhaust, SAFC, gauges, buttons, switchs, BOV, turbo, Purge kit, Intake, laptop or the fully loaded bottle of laughing gas).

All went well with this issue. I might as well report back in when they install the new motor, and give feedback.

New power window motor has been installed, no problems. They do ask alot of questions though (related to how I like the car with its mods)

Thanks for posting that, Suby. People seem to be getting increasingly paranoid that their warranty will be voided if they do anything to the car. It's nice to hear that your experiences, like mine, have been smooth and positive.

Yeah I was surprised when at the dealer a week ago and they saw my AEM CAI...they asked if I had a filter on the end of the tube...I said yes and they said "thats good because we couldnt warranty the turbo if something happened to it with that on if you didnt have a filter on the end of it" So, I guess that means its okay as long as there is a filter on it....

Just experienced the same problem here. The Window was going up crooked then the motor failed!!!

Waiting for parts for my tranny and now my window goes out on a Saturday night....now i have to wait till Monday to get it fixed or get a loaner.....was 1 hr in a road trip......grrrrrrrrrr.....had to come back home!!!! What will the Women in Moncton do without me?!?!?!

But the funny part is when I got stoped by the cop for speeding....only got a warning!!!
